Yesterday Night, I just got back from a red eye flight from San Diego and I’m happy to say that I had a fanastic time over my trip even dough I said I wanted to do a live update on the go but I didn’t had my laptop and I didn’t wanted to deal with a old heavy ass laptop on me and put the stress on my back since I know it wasn’t necessary do that So I did a live tweet on the event but I want able to share most of the pictures I took with both smartphone and digital camera.
I can say however is that I did missed most of Friday’s event and would have love to have made it plus the planning wasn’t perfect since I know it wouldn’t have been nice to leave on a Thursday instead of dealing with the Friday traffic….Guess what! I did the unthinkable and dealt with the traffic Friday that I came to expect the worst and I did. Last years event was better planned and thought about it ahead! Now I won’t go hit myself to hard since I can say in fairness with what I was going thru I did had a better experence since last years in San Fransico. I did get to see about little bit of everything and did stayed in for about 2 half days there in San Diego. I arrived over there on a Friday evening and landed around 7pm and I got into my AirBnB and found a good place to stay that evening and didn’t get there since one of my Mom’s friend picked me and ended up getting something to eat and dried up.
(The place was about 20 minutes from the event and that was not to bad, but my airbnb experience wasn’t so great this time around I’ll explain that in another time, I’ll have no time since this post contains my experience with Twitch-Con and leave it at that).
From there I was having an issue adjusting with the pacific time zones that struggle was real. Saturday morning I woke as of 5 a.m PST since my time was mostly Eastern Time Zone and I was trying to get more sleep I had coming in that evening yesterday. I remember was walking onto a Metro Station for the trolley I was little nervous going to a city that I never been before by myself….quick I got familar and checked with all the direction and made it on time.for the event waited in line 15 minutes to enter the cenvention and which this reminds me, last year I never had to do that but I I did for this convention center. I didn’t minded but so wanted to play the games and look into the panels badly. which I though it was a little weird but I didn’t all much mind it a lot unlike the one guy that was behind me that was bitching about it and didn’t wanted to wait in the sun outside the convention and in that case I had to agree with him. It was very hot outside and I so much wanted to melt badly and the same time wanted to get in for A/C.
“I know one thing for sure is that I’ll have to get the industry tickets again if I do decided to come back again next year”.
I have to stay that I didn’t mind waiting still but I know that my experience really was wonderful and I knew that Twitch picked the right place for their second annaual event and I remember that convention when I was 15-16 yrs old at the time and it was like…10 years ago since I been back to San Diego. That place alone is huge 10 years ago I was there for San Diego Comic Con 2006.
When I finally entered there was a lot of people I seen walking around….IT WAS MASSIVE! and had a lot going on this year around! tons of panels I wasn’t able to go but expect one panel upstairs and spend the rest of the time over at the lower level.where all the action was taking place. I was taking a lot of pictures and got to see a few other interesting streamers and including the big streamers there.
Here’s all of pictures.for Saturday.
Here’s most of the pictures I have taken I know most of hte other pictures I have is in my phone and I’ll be able to post them up on a like a Flickr account. I’ll be sure upload most of them in the morning when I get up first thing.
(Stay tuned for a updated post.
